My passion for fitness started with running, by competing in 10 kilometer races in England. In more recent years, my focus has shifted to resistance training, which continues to be my primary discipline. I have a deep interest in health and fitness, and am always trying to expand my knowledge of the subject. I am currently studying a bachelors degree in sport and exercise science.

I’m very passionate about fitness and always interested in expanding my knowledge through research and practicality. I recently obtained my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education at UofT and I’m currently acquiring my Registered Kinesiologist Certificate and CSEP Personal Trainer Certificate. My future goal is to enter a master’s program for Physiotherapy!
My fitness journey started with Cross-Fit and has now become a mixture of powerlifting and bodybuilding. The process of learning to balance both art forms of weightlifting has been exciting. Over the years, I have fallen in love with clinical based research of resistance exercise and the study of rehabilitation through avenues of physiotherapy, and athletic therapy.

In December 2014 I decided I was going to quit smoking. I didn’t want to pick up food as most people do so I started going to the gym for the sole purpose of not gaining weight. I fell in love. It became my outlet, and led me to find myself and learn how to push myself in many ways. I ended up losing over 80 lbs by accident on my own through all the activities I fell in love with including hiking up the mountain. I also started cleaning up my diet which only improved my health and well being even more and fueled my body properly for the activities I enjoyed so much. From then on I have been hooked. I am always looking for ways to improve my knowledge on fitness and nutrition and improve on my own wellness and health. I have tried many different fitness activities from yoga to hiit to barre to running, and many more. I am excited to continue to learn and hopefully go through training to become a trainer myself one day.

Cecilee Cooper
Canfitpro personal training specialist
Hi, I’m Cecilee!
I look forward to joining the team at MVMT as a trainer and group fitness coach. Fitness and nutrition have been a huge part of my life ever since I was old enough to have a gym membership. I have a 1-year-old son at home and take pride in living a healthy and active lifestyle so that I can be a good role model for him.
I love working with people and cannot wait to share the knowledge I have acquired over the years. I strongly believe that when you look and feel your best you perform your best in all areas of your life.
I am always in the process of expanding my knowledge so that I can help people with all of their health and wellness needs!

Travis Hennessey
My name is Travis Hennessey. I am 27 years old. I have been working out since the age of 13. I have taken a few personal trainers courses through the YMCA
Before working at The Centre I spent six years in the restaurant industry as a cook, but my main passion has always been the fitness industry. I am now in my comfort zone here at The Centre.
Sharing my passion with other people who have goals similar to myself is where I want to be. My job is to make sure the gym stays clean and as safe as possible so everyone can enjoy themselves with no worries in mind.
You can also catch me working out all though the week so don’t be afraid to introduce yourself.

I discovered yoga in University as a way to decompress after a busy day of classes. After graduating from McMaster, I found myself working in a group home setting where I dealt with many teens working through mental health issues of their own. I practiced yoga before I went to work one day & my co-worker told me that there was something different about me, a glow of sorts. I started to see the connection between yoga & my own mental health and I began to incorporate yoga into the programming of the teens I was working with & noticed there was a difference for them too.
Wellness Team

Leah Van Dolder
Dietitian
Hi! My extensive training in the science behind nutrition and its connection to health and overall wellness allows me to help clients in a way they can’t manage alone or through an online search. All services I provide begin with an in-depth review and analysis of your current state of health and personal goals. Together, we develop a detailed plan that is tailored to your specific requirements. Then, I act as the coach to help you monitor your progress and overcome challenges so you can achieve your goals.
I pursued my nutrition education at The University of Western Ontario in London, ON where I graduated with her Bachelor of Science Honours Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics. I then completed my Dietetic Internship at Hamilton Health Sciences and I’m a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario and the Consulting Dietitians Network.
My personal journey to wellness includes lots of outdoor activities such as hiking and biking. I am not a fan of slaving in the kitchen and therefore I am always trying out new quick and easy recipes. My personal philosophy is that good nutrition should be simple and provide joy and energy in our daily lives.
