MSc Physiotherapy
MSc Health & Rehab Science
Health and fitness has been a passion of mine for quite some time, and I knew it was something I wanted to pursue as a profession. I’ve completed a BSc in Kinesiology at Waterloo University, a MSc in Health and Rehab Science at Western University, and an MSc in Physiotherapy at Brunel University in England. I am currently in the process of preparing for my physiotherapy board exams and I cannot wait to start practicing.
I’ve had a great passion for sports all my life and I was lucky enough to play 5 years of varsity hockey during my studies at Waterloo and Western, as well as overseas in UK when I went to study physiotherapy. I spent many hours in the gym as a varsity athlete learning new ways to work out and perfecting my technique, and it’s something I continue to do on a regular basis to this day. I love sharing the knowledge that I have regarding health and fitness and I am always eager to learn new things.

Why work with a personal fitness trainer?
Here are just a few of the benefits of working with a personal trainer here at MVMT Fitness & Performance:
It’s Educational. Our trainers will not only challenge you, but will also teach you the ins and outs of health and fitness training. There are a multitude of skills to resistance, mobility and cardio training; a personal trainer can greatly accelerate the learning process to help you to reach your goals.
It’s Challenging. We are told we have to push ourselves in the gym, but without a proper understanding of exercise technique and programming, it is dangerous to do so. A trainer will teach you how to get the most from yourself, through progressive programming, technique development and mobility & flexibility training.
Form is Key. Working with a personal trainer will ensure you’re performing exercises with proper form, minimizing your risk of injury and ensuring you get the most from each exercise and workout. Injuries can hinder your progress for a long time. With a trained specialist working with you to understand your body, you learn to train safely.
Accountability. Many people know that exercise is essential to there health and wellness but struggle with exercising consistency. This is where a personal trainer can help you commit and stick to your fitness goals. If you’ve made an appointment to meet you trainer for a session, then you are far more likely to go than if you are just telling yourself you should go to the gym.
